L\u00e6s med for at l\u00e6re, hvordan teknologi fra NVIDIA og Google kommer til at revolutionere branchen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"resume\"><strong>Resume<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Udbredelsen af kunstig intelligens kommer til at \u00e6ndre vores sundhedssektor i en grad, som vi slet ikke kan forestille os.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NVIDIAs teknologi kommer til at give branchen nye \u201dsuperkr\u00e6fter\u201d, og vi kommer til at se ny medicin blive udviklet med en hastighed, som n\u00e6sten kan g\u00f8re \u201dsuperman\u201d misundelig.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Et sundhedsv\u00e6sen, der er udfordret p\u00e5 personalesiden, kommer til at anvende og implementere AI, s\u00e5 vi endnu hurtigere kan stille diagnosen, og finde den rigtige behandling til patienten hurtigere end nogensinde f\u00f8r.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kunstig intelligens kommer til at \u00f8ge produktiviteten i en grad, som vi slet ikke kan forestille os. Fremtiden ser lys ud!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Det kommer til at gavne mange selskaber. L\u00e6s med neden for at l\u00e6re om hvilke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"en-eksplosiv-periode-er-foran-os\">En eksplosiv periode er foran os<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sundhedssektoren st\u00e5r foran en eksplosiv periode, hvor kunstig intelligens f\u00e5r en betydelig rolle. Det ansl\u00e5s, at sundhedssektoren producerer 1.000.000.000.000 gigabyte data om \u00e5ret, og der g\u00e6ttes p\u00e5, at det tal er dobbelt s\u00e5 h\u00f8jt om bare 2 \u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det er et ufatteligt stort tal. Det d\u00e6kker jo over diverse pr\u00f8ver og test f.eks. r\u00f8ntgenbilleder, v\u00e6vspr\u00f8ver, blodpr\u00f8ver, genomiske data, alle data i diverse patientjournaler osv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det er klart, at m\u00e6ngden af disse data er overv\u00e6ldende, og kan v\u00e6re sv\u00e6re at overskue for selv de dygtigste mennesker. T\u00e6nk p\u00e5 en l\u00e6ge, der har 20 patienter, og 50 parametre, som skal holdes op over for gr\u00e6nsev\u00e6rdier for, hvorn\u00e5r patienten er syg, eller skal unders\u00f8ges n\u00e6rmere. Vi taler om 20 x 50 = 1000 datav\u00e6rdier, som en l\u00e6ge eller sygeplejerske skal kunne overskue, vel at m\u00e6rke p\u00e5 daglig basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derfor er der k\u00e6mpe v\u00e6rdi i at udvikle et system for l\u00e6gen eller sygeplejersken, som lynhurtigt kan analysere disse data. Det er her NVIDIAs \u201dsuperkr\u00e6fter\u201d kommer ind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"nvidias-superkraefter\">NVIDIAs superkr\u00e6fter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Her f\u00f8lger nogle linjer om, hvad NVIDIA laver. NVIDIA kommer fra Santa Clara i Californien. NVIDIA er et software og \u201dfabless\u201d selskab, dvs. NVIDIA har ingen fabrikker selv, og de fleste investeringer er derfor kun hardware (computere) og software (programmer). NVIDIAs salg er alts\u00e5 ikke afh\u00e6ngig af egne fabrikker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det er en vigtig pointe, for NVIDIAs salg kan derfor \u201deksplodere\u201d uden, at der er en bagvedliggende produktion p\u00e5 en fabrik, der skal kunne f\u00f8lge med.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA designer Graphics Processing Units (GPU), og Application Programming Interface (API) til \u201cdata science\u201d, og \u201cHigh-Performance Computing\u201d, dvs. supercomputere og \u201dcomputer-clusters\u201d, som er systemer af computere, der arbejder sammen som \u00e9n, men meget kraftfuld computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"accelerated-computing\">Accelerated computing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA er kendt for sin tilgang til at integrere alle dele: mikrochips, algoritmer og software, med det form\u00e5l at kunne accelerere beregninger og tilgange til store datam\u00e6ngder. Hensigten er at kunne forbedre performance i algoritmerne, men uden at \u00e6ndre p\u00e5 selve funktionaliteten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et eksempel: Diagnosen hos l\u00e6gen skal stilles under hensyntagen og inddragelse af ny viden, uden at computeren eller diagnoseprogrammerne skal udskiftes (computerens algoritme forbedres l\u00f8bende via inkludering af nye og relevante data).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alt sammen er n\u00f8dvendigt, n\u00e5r store m\u00e6ngder af data skal analyseres, f.eks. n\u00e5r der skal udvikles nye l\u00e6gemidler, eller n\u00e5r der skal stilles diagnoser p\u00e5 baggrund af f.eks. r\u00f8ntgenbilleder osv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvor-kan-vi-se-ai-anvendt-i-hojere-grad\"><strong>Hvor kan vi se AI anvendt i h\u00f8jere grad?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDA n\u00e6vner selv 4 omr\u00e5der, hvor anvendelsen af kunstig intelligens kan l\u00f8fte tempoet til nye h\u00f8jder, og samtidig \u00f8ge innovationshastigheden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-artificial-intelligence-powered-drug-discovery-aidd\">#1 Artificial Intelligence powered Drug Discovery (AIDD)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA annoncerede i februar 2023 \u201dBioNeMo Cloud\u201d, som var en ny service til life science-sektorens forskningsafdelinger, som giver forskere i mindre biotekselskaber adgang til \u201dtr\u00e6nede AI-modeller\u201d, og som derved kan analyse deres egne data p\u00e5 disse modeller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA annoncerede i november et arbejde med <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordnet.dk\/aktier\/kurser\/amazon0com-amzn-xnas\">Amazon<\/a>\u2019s cloud service forretningsben, AWS, om at f\u00e5 adgang til BioNemo via AWS\u2019 cloud service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA annoncerede ogs\u00e5 i november 2023, at selskabet havde indg\u00e5et et samarbejde med et af verdens st\u00f8rste pharma-selskaber (top-10), selskabet Roche\/Genentech. Roche kalder selv samarbejdsprogrammet et \u201dlab-in-a-loop\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideen er, at forskerne udarbejder en hypotese p\u00e5 baggrund af eksisterende data, derefter testes den i laboratoriet, og endelig sammenlignes disse data med de \u201dgamle data\u201d, og nye hypoteser udarbejdes derefter, som s\u00e5 igen bliver testet i laboratoriet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med anvendelsen af \u201daccelerated computing\u201d kan forskere nu lave \u201dvirtuelle\u201d modeller af millioner af molekyler, designe nye molekyler, teste dem i laboratoriet, og derefter videreudvikle dem, s\u00e5 de til sidst ender som potentielle l\u00e6gemidler, der skal videre fra laboratoriet, og testes i mennesker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pointen er her, at arbejdstiden kan kortes ned fra ca. 3 m\u00e5neder til ca. 3 dage\/3 uger, og det g\u00f8r det muligt at arbejde meget hurtigere, og dermed afkorte processen med at opfinde nye l\u00e6gemidler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selskaber som det schweiziske Roche<strong>\/<\/strong>Genentech og det amerikanske Amgen har i 2023 indg\u00e5et nye samarbejdsaftaler med NVIDIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordnet.dk\/aktier\/kurser\/alphabet-c-goog-xnas\">Alphabet<\/a> dannede selskabet Isomorphic Labs for mindre end 2 \u00e5r siden. Men allerede nu har selskabet allerede lavet 2 aftaler med henholdsvis det schweiziske selskab Novartis og det amerikanske selskab EliLilly til en samlet v\u00e6rdi p\u00e5 USD 3 mia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isomorphic Labs kan hj\u00e6lpe big pharma med at forudsige strukturen p\u00e5 proteiner, og arbejdet bygger videre p\u00e5 Google\u2019s DeepMind. Isomorphic Labs har for nyligt annonceret, at selskabet ogs\u00e5 kan forudsige targets for nye, sm\u00e5 molekyler, som kan forf\u00f8lges i den videre forskning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-genomics-genomforskning\">#2 Genomics = Genomforskning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA n\u00e6vner ogs\u00e5 genomforskning, som et omr\u00e5de, der i stigende grad vil anvende kunstig intelligens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Genomet, ogs\u00e5 kaldet for arvemassen, omfatter den genetiske information, som det grundlagdes med ved befrugtningen. NVIDIA beskriver selv, at anvendelsen af \u201dHigh Performance Computing\u201d (HPC), kan muligg\u00f8re at opdage genetiske mutationer hurtigere i kr\u00e6ftceller, s\u00e5 patienter i fremtiden kan f\u00e5 en forebyggende behandling eller f\u00e5 en allerede godkendt behandling hurtigere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men en gensekventering af en cancercelle medf\u00f8rer dannelsen af utrolig store m\u00e6ngder af data, og de skal kunne analyseres meget hurtigt. Her kommer NVIDIAs \u201dHigh Performance Computing\u201d ind i billedet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alle biotek- og pharma-selskaber kan nyde godt af dette, og mange hospitaler\/laboratorier vil begynde at se k\u00e6mpe muligheder for implementering af AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-medicinsk-udstyr-og-billedanalyse\">#3 Medicinsk udstyr og billedanalyse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDA beskriver ogs\u00e5 \u201dmedical devices\u201d og \u201dmedical imaging\u201d, som omr\u00e5der der allerede har oplevet kraftige produktivitetsforbedringer, men som ogs\u00e5 i de kommende \u00e5r vil se kraftige forbederinger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inden for begge forretningsomr\u00e5der kan \u201dHigh Performance Computing\u201d underst\u00f8tte softwareprogrammer, og fungere som et ekstra \u201ds\u00e6t \u00f8jne\u201d, der kan hj\u00e6lpe l\u00e6ger og radiologer med at lave billedanalyser, og udpege specielle omr\u00e5der, som b\u00f8r unders\u00f8ges yderligere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denne hj\u00e6lp kan b\u00e5de \u00f8ge hastigheden for selve analysen, men s\u00e5 sandelig ogs\u00e5 hj\u00e6lpe til med at undg\u00e5 at \u201doverse\u201d potentielle sygdomme. Et k\u00e6mpe fremskridt inden for bl.a. CT og MRI-scanninger eller unders\u00f8gelse ved brug af ultralyd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selskaber, der vil indarbejde kunstig intelligens yderligere, er f.eks. det amerikanske selskab GEHealthcare, det hollandske selskab Philips eller det tyske selskab SiemensHealthineers, men der er mange andre selskaber, der er i gang med at g\u00f8re det samme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-generative-ai-modeller-og-large-language-modeller\">#4 Generative AI modeller og Large Language Modeller<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hvad er \u201dLarge Language Models\u201d? Det er en \u201ddeep learning-algoritme\u201d, der behandler og genererer menneskelignende tekst. Disse modeller er uddannet p\u00e5 massive datas\u00e6t, der indeholder tekst fra forskellige kilder, s\u00e5som f.eks. patientjournaler, medicinske guidelines, og oplysninger om godkendelser af nye former for medicin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dLarge Language-modeller\u201d er en underkategori til generative AI-modeller, som generelt b\u00e5de kan generere tekst, billeder og endda ogs\u00e5 musik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NVIDIA har f.eks. dets eget modul, der hedder NVIDIA NeMo, der er et end-to-end cloud modul, der bruges til at bygge Generative AI modeller i hvilken som helst virksomhed eller offentlig institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvad-kan-generative-ai-sa-bruges-til-inden-for-hospitalssektoren\"><strong>Hvad kan Generative AI s\u00e5 bruges til inden for hospitalssektoren?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Her er et par eksempler:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lave en chatbot, der kan henvise patienter til den rette l\u00e6ge\/specialist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foretage personaliserede behandlinger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Str\u00f8mline kommunikation og dokumentation i patientjournaler<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lave analyser, der kan klassificere den enkelte patients risikoprofil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forudsige om en behandling vil virke optimalt for den p\u00e5g\u00e6ldende patient<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"googles-medlm-model\">Googles MedLM-model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Google har lavet en \u201dGenerative AI\u201d-model til sundhedssektoren (MedLM), der er blevet testet af et af USA\u2019s st\u00f8rste hospitalsk\u00e6der, HCA Healthcare samt IT- og konsulentselskabet Accenture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HCA Healthcare har f.eks. brugt til MedLM til at optage samtaler mellem patienter og l\u00e6gen p\u00e5 skadestuen, og overf\u00f8re disse dialoger til et tekst-udkast, som skal godkendes, inden det overf\u00f8res til den elektroniske patientjournal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accenture har f.eks. testet MedLM til at kunne l\u00e6se kliniske dokumenter, samt til sagsbehandlinger i forbindelse med refusion af udgifter i forbindelse med indl\u00e6ggelser p\u00e5 hospitaler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvor-kommer-vi-til-at-se-gennembrud\">Hvor kommer vi til at se gennembrud?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Forst\u00e5else af immunforsvaret: AI kommer til at give os en meget st\u00f8rre indsigt i vores immunforsvar, helt ned p\u00e5 celleniveau, og vil i fremtiden g\u00f8re os i stand til at opfinde mere personaliserede behandlinger fx inden for kr\u00e6ft og inden for neurologiske sygdomme.
