Guiding philosophies for pension portfolios:
1. Seek low costs.
2. Seek diversification where possible.
3. Apply factor screens.
4. Sharpe ratios/CAPE matters.
5. The portfolio will only consist of equity/private equity - no bonds.
Trading rules for pension portfolios:
1. Maintain low transaction costs - every ETF purchase must be within parameters for the lowest transactional costs available on Nordnet (Mini), roughly <25K NOK at the time.
2. ETF sales can only occur when a position can be broken down into appropriate repurchasing sizes, within 10%. As such, sales should not occur until a position has at least doubled in size.
3. A decision to sell is only allowed when diversification potential is precent.
4. For sums smaller than 25K NOK, these will be placed into funds.
5. All funds will be sold at the time when the fund portfolio reaches <24K NOK, in order to purchase an ETF.
6. Distributing ETFs and funds will be avoided where an accumulating ETF is available.
7. ESG ETFs will be avoided where a non-ESG ETF equivalent is available.
