25. feb.25. feb.25-02-25 | Andre Opdatering 8 om Namibia-udforskning og vurdering Galp (80%, operator), together with its partners NAMCOR and Custos (10% each), has successfully drilled, cored and logged the Mopane-3X well (Well #5) in PEL83, offshore Namibia, which was spudded on January 2nd. Mopane-3X, located at an 18 km distance from the first Mopane-1X well, targeted two stacked prospects, AVO-10 & AVO-13, and a deeper sand, in the southeast region of the Mopane complex, at c.1,200 m water depth. Preliminary data confirm light oil and gas-condensate significant columns across AVO-10, and light oil columns on AVO-13 and on the deeper sand, in high-quality sandstones. The reservoirs log measures confirm good porosities, high pressures and high permeabilities. Initial fluid samples show low oil viscosity and minimum CO2 and H2S concentrations. Samples were sent for lab testing. Mopane-3X higher-than-estimated pressures and preliminary results unlock further exploration & appraisal opportunities in the southeast region of Mopane. All acquired data will be integrated into the reservoir model and support the planning of potential further activities. The proprietary 3D development seismic acquisition campaign is on track to be completed in the 1Q25, with processing of the information acquired to follow.
31. dec. 202431. dec. 202412/31/2024 | Other Update 7 on Namibia exploration and appraisal Galp (80%, operator), together with its partners NAMCOR and Custos (10% each), has successfully drilled and logged the Mopane-2A well (Well #4) in PEL83, which was spudded on December 2. Mopane-2A found a hydrocarbon column of gas-condensate in AVO-3 with a thin net pay in the reservoir sweet spot. The well also discovered a hydrocarbon column of light oil in a smaller reservoir, AVO-4. Both reservoirs showed good quality sands, with good porosities and permeabilities, high pressures and low fluid viscosities characteristics, with minimum CO2 and no H2S concentrations. Also, in line with all previous Mopane wells, no water contacts were found. Galp and its partners will continue to analyse and integrate all new acquired data to allow a better understanding of the Mopane complex. Galp will continue to assess the commerciality of the discoveries. As part of the ongoing E&A campaign in the wider Mopane area, the drillship is now moving to the Mopane-3X exploration well location (Well #5), targeting two stacked prospects AVO-10 & AVO-13 with expected spud date around 1st January 2025. In parallel, the joint venture is carrying out a high-density and high-resolution proprietary 3D development seismic campaign over the Mopane complex.
11. mar.11. mar.Sintana Energy holds an indirect 49% interest in Custos Energy (Pty) Ltd. (“Custos”), which owns a 10% working interest in Petroleum Exploration License 83 (PEL 83) located in Namibia’s Orange Basin.  Both Custos and the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) each hold 10% working interests in PEL 83 and are carried by the operator, Galp Energia, through the exploration phase.  The term “carried interest” typically refers to an arrangement where one party (in this case, Custos and NAMCOR) does not incur exploration costs, as these are covered by another party (Galp Energia) until a certain point, often until the commencement of production or first sales. In this context, Custos and NAMCOR are carried by Galp through the exploration phase, which suggests that their carried interest covers costs up to the point of first sales.- 16. dec. 202416. dec. 2024Nå er Bollsta og Noble også på vei ut, og er bare noen dager unna spud. Pel56, Pel83, Pel85 og Pel90 hvor sintana har 4.9% carried interest på Pel83 og Pel90.18. dec. 202418. dec. 2024Usikker hvor mye aksjekursen påvirkes av appraisal brønn nr4 på PEL83 i det korte bildet. Men viktig for å styrke forhandlingsposisjon ved nedsalg av Galp 40% stake og langsiktig verdi for SEI. Brønn nr5 i januar blir derimot viktig. Da kan feltet utvides. I alt i alt veldig spennende neste 2-3 måneder.

In December, Galp and its partners decided to retain the Santorini drillship to continue the ongoing E&A campaign during the southern hemisphere summer whilst avoiding mobilisation and de-mobilisation costs. Mopane-2A (well #4) was spud in December in nearby AVO-3, and Mopane-3X (well #5) is expected to be spud in early 2025 in AVOs 10 & 13 (stacked) taking advantage of newly processed 3D seismic. https://www.galp.com/corp/en/about-us/what-we-do/upstream/namibia
